For the first time, the 15th Mediterranean Conference on Control and Automation, MED'07, will include research demonstrations and interactive poster sessions on 'work-in-progress'. A dedicated area, the Exhibits Hall, will be used for Industry, Publishers, University and Research Center Exhibits.

Hard Deadline for submission of research demos and work-in-progress papers is March 1, 2007. Notification of acceptance / rejection is March 15, 2007.

RESEARCH DEMOS

We are soliciting demonstrations of original research addressing all topics in Control and Automation, including, but not limited to, topics listed in the Call for Papers.

Demonstrations may include, hardware components (sensors, controllers) software, modeling and control tools, simulation environments, video clips with experimental results, robots, complete systems, to name a few. Two tables and two easels will be provided in a 9 m2 area.

Submission Instructions: Submit a summary of 1,000 words or less to Dr. Kimon Valavanis at kvalavan@cse.usf.edu, in PDF format, single column, describing in detail and concretely what the demo / exhibit will consist of, together with a brief description of the underlying research.

Please include the following details separately, as needed:
- Additional facilities needed;
- Power and internet connectivity;
- Set up time required.

Research Demo Fee: The total cost for a three day demo / exhibit that carries a full conference registration, and rental fee too, is 800 EUR / $1,000 USD.

WORK-IN-PROGRESS

Work-in-progress four-page papers are solicited for on-going research to stimulate interaction early on in projects of common interest. Work-in-progress papers will be poster papers exhibited at the Exhibits Hall. Two easels per paper will be provided.

Work-in-progress paper fee: The total cost for a three day poster paper exhibited at the Exhibits Hall carrying a full conference registration fee, and rental fee too, is 500 EUR / $625.00 USD.

Submission Instructions: Work-in-progress papers are poster papers and should be submitted in standard IEEE double-column format for conferences. The first page of the paper, centered on the top below the top margin, should include the paper title, the authors' names and their affiliations, an abstract, and keywords. Four pages are allowed for each poster paper, all included. Poster papers will be reviewed by the Organizing Committee and members of the IPC.
